AIDS-i Tugikeskus (AIDS Infornation and Support Centre) is a social non-profit non-governmental (NGO) organisation, which was founded 01.02.1994 as by group of volunteers in Tallinn, Estonia.
AIDS-Tugikeskus in Tallinn have two departments:
1. Kopli 32, 10412, Tallinn. In those rooms we provide reception for the general public, project HIV prevention among sex-workers* and project against trafficking in women and girls works here.
2. Erika 5a, Tallinn. This department was created for the projects with target group - injecting drug users: consultations of narcologist, psychologist, therapist, needle exchange, methadone treatment, rehabilitation services etc.*
Our basic field activity includes:
• HIV – testing, HIV pre- and post test counselling, consulting about sexually transmitted diseases (STD-s) for public in general and youth;
• possibility of anonymous HIV/STD testing, treatment of STD-s;
• counselling on safer sex;• provision of literature on safer sex and prevention of HIV/STD-s;• work with sex-workers, migratory prostitution, project against trafficking of women and girls in Baltic Sea region (with co-operation with Kvinnoforum, SWEDEN and Caritas Diocesana di Roma, Italy);
• Harm Reduction and rehabilitation projects for injecting drug users: needle exchange, methadone treatment, Harm Reduction program for sex workers – IDU-s, rehabilitation day-center and country house for drug users,
• creation of a gay sensitive atmosphere and testing/preventive work with gays; work with young gays;• psycho-social support of people, living with HIV/AIDS (co-operation with
organisations of PLWHA in Estonia)
• participation in mass events concerts musical festivals, youth events – spreading literature on safer sex, condoms, leaflets etc.

AIDS Tugikeskus has developed international relations with several other ASO (AIDS Service Organisations): Finnish AIDS Council in Helsinki, Finland; GENDERS, Latvia,
HIV-positive groups in the Baltic countries, Finland, Sweden; STAKES, Finland,
Kvinnoforum, Sweden.

* Our partner Medical Center „Elulootus” registered in 1997, is responsible for all medical procedures (methadone, HIV and STD testing and treatment) and located at same address.
